Seniors Luncheons

There are many seniors in our community who are lonely and rarely leave their homes.  Bev likes to spoil them during the year with themed lunches, complete with decorations, entertainment and a gift.  For many this is a major outing.

Each function is the responsibility of a corporate volunteer group, including setting up the venue, creating the meal, serving the meal and cleaning up after lunch.

The seniors thoroughly enjoy these lunches, and the opportunity to talk to volunteers is priceless for everyone.

There are 5 functions per year with an attendance of about 150 at each.

Hampers + Lots More

Each year many West Australian families struggle to provide enough food for the family during difficult times.   During School Holidays when Children are home from school, there are added pressures to meet the food demands of growing families.

Manna provide hampers to help individuals and families during these tough times.

‘Family Hampers’ are designed to provide extra simple meals for the family as well as treats during difficult times and also throughout the festive season.  Many of these hampers are distributed to the schools to go to the families who need them most.  Our ‘Streeties Hampers’ are designed to give the homeless and struggling people of Perth extra meals during tough times when many agencies struggle to meet the demand.

Manna provides hampers to those in need throughout the year and in November every year, Manna begins a major food drive to collect the items most needed for the hampers.
