Some of the ways that you can assist Manna are outlined below and we are sure that you will think of a few more and share them with us.

Please remember that Manna is a registered charity and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Please note that Manna is closed on Christmas Day (every year) as Mission Australia put on a wonderful lunch for over 2,000 people in the city.  The Manna kitchen remains open for the remainder of the Festive Season.

Ever thought of volunteering in a soup kitchen?

Giving back to the community comes with many rewards.  Manna relies heavily on its Volunteers with over 200 getting involved every month.

This could be in the Manna kitchen or by utilising their professional or administration skills to assist Manna to continue its journey.

With only four staff there are many areas where we seek assistance so we can continue to meet the growing demand on our services in the community.

Manna has two volunteer coordinators – one for individual volunteers and the other for corporate groups.  Both of these ladies are kept very busy.

Corporate Support

161A4250Large or small, your business may be able to assist Manna.

We can help your business achieve:

  • a sense of teamwork in staff
  • enhanced staff morale
  • positive community relationships
  • a positive reputation

Your business can help by offering services or goods in kind, volunteer time or generous donations.

Corporate volunteering has also increased with the more options now being offered to corporate groups.   As more corporates get involved we are finding that the kitchen options, including the seniors functions, are booked out up to 12 months in advance.
