Some of the Manna services to these disadvantaged individuals, families and children include:
(1) Hot ’n’ Healthy Meals
These are prepared and distributed to the homeless and struggling people of Perth five days a week at an inner city park … the meals distributed include freshly made soup, a main course with a vegetarian option and a dessert. These meals annually total:
90,000 soups with a bread roll
90,000 hot main meals
That’s over 270,000 individual servings for the hungry and homeless every year. The meals are always made fresh every day by our large group of volunteers at the Manna Kitchen in the inner city Perth Suburb of Victoria Park.
(2) Healthy School Breakfasts
The school breakfast program provides breakfast to disadvantaged students at 20 schools.
Over 100,000 breakfasts are provided to these school children every year.
(3) Winter School Uniform packs – THIS PROGRAM IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Winter School uniforms are provided for children who are cold and who do not have access to a winter uniform.
In the past twelve months Manna has provided over 1,000 winter school uniforms to students in 43 schools.
(4) Special Lunch Functions for the Elderly
Five special luncheons each year are served to the elderly.
(5) Christmas Hampers for the Homeless
